  • Banksy – Charlie Brown Firestarter Adaption Metal Wall Art R990,00

Charlie Brown Firestarter was originally created in February 2011 as a graffiti tag by popular artist Banksy. It was discovered painted at curb level on the side of a burned out building in Beverly Hills. The artwork depicts the Peanuts cartoon character Charlie Brown surreptitiously emptying gasoline from a red can. He is shown as having a smile on his face while smoking a cigarette. It is implicit in the work that Banksy is alleging that the cartoon character caused the fire that destroyed the building the graffiti was found on.

  • Banksy – Flying Balloons Girl Adaption Metal Wall Art R550,00

In 2005, Banksy visited Israel’s West Bank barrier. Reaching nearly eight metres in height the barrier is deemed necessary for security by the Israelis against Palestinian terrorism, however for Palestinians it is known as the “separation” or “segregation” wall.  For Palestinians the wall has become a blank canvas on which they write messages and construct images reflecting their day-to-day struggles and feelings of imprisonment. Banksy’s artwork depicts a young girl looking upwards, floating, suspended above the ground only by balloons. A poignant and uplifting image on an otherwise controversial backdrop.

  • Banksy – Girl With Balloon Adaption Metal Wall Art Price range: R699,00 through R750,00

Banksy’s ‘Girl With A Red Balloon’ is undoubtedly one of his most iconic and revered works. The original work depicts a young girl losing a heart-shaped balloon to the wind. The girl is seen standing in front of a gust of wind in black and white. Her balloon is painted in bright red. The heart-shaped balloon represents love, hope, innocence and childhood. It is not clear if the artwork is supposed to represent a loss of hope or that what you desire is within your reach. The quote “There Is Always Hope’ that often accompanies the piece seems to hint at the latter.

  • Banksy – Love Is In The Air (Flower Thrower) Adaption Metal Wall Art Price range: R900,00 through R2800,00

This iconic stencil illustration is among Banksy’s most recognisable and revered works. The subject, who appears to be involved in a riot, wears a bandanna and backwards baseball cap and is depicted armed with a bouquet of flowers instead of a Molotov cocktail. The complete work is done in black and white, except the flowers, which are in colour in the original artwork. The substitute of the flowers for a weapon portrays peace and hope in place of destruction.

  • Banksy – Pandamonium Adaption Metal Wall Art Price range: R500,00 through R990,00

Pandamonium! So much for Panda’s being the epitome of cute, cuddly and placid. This gun toting Panda’s gone rogue! This irreverent and playful artwork by Banksy would make a great feature artwork for your kids room or the man cave for that matter. Guaranteed to lighten your mood.
